10 WWE Evolution Impulse Reactions

At 14:15, the Evolution main event between Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey and newly-returned and turned Nikki Bella was perhaps five minutes too long, but it speaks to the quality of the entire card that there was room here for any criticism whatsoever.

The pair were unable to follow the scintillating scrap one match earlier, but were so satisfyingly over that crowd responses again made up for a match that otherwise may have lost its way.

Ronda's inexperience again crept in, but considering how literally inexperienced she is that's hardly a stick worth beating her with. Toning down the trash-talk is the next step in solidifying Rousey as the babyface star of this generation, but Nikki was in such riveting form as a heel here that it didn't even matter.

The inch-perfect obnoxiousness of The Bella Twins is a marvellous sight to behold. Either Brie and Nikki have their fingers on the pulse of the fanbase or the company does, because virtually everything they've done since making an uninvited return to the main roster has been skillfully sycophantic and sinister as per the demands of the role.

The twins may not belong as deep in the conversation of the women's division past as they'd like, but they again proved how - if they wish - they can still be a huge part of its future.
