10 WWE Exits Which Seriously Affected Other Wrestlers
4. O.C. Being Released Leads To A Pissed Off Phenomenal One
One of the biggest shocks which came during the recent Black Wednesday mass exodus was the announcement of Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows being suddenly released from the company.
Both men had recently appeared in the critically acclaimed Boneyard match at 'Mania 36 which saw their O.C. leader A.J. Styles taking on The Undertaker in a cinematic spectacle for the ages. However, here we were, just a few weeks later and the former Raw Tag Team Champions were suddenly left without a job during a global health crisis.
If you were stunned at the news, imagine how the 'Phenomenal One' must have felt.
Well, you don't have to actually. It was revealed recently by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer that Styles was furious with then-Executive Director of Raw Paul Heyman over his buddies' exits and this rift eventually led to Styles being traded to SmackDown.
Styles has now gone on to become Intercontinental Champion on the blue show, which seems to suggest the company are doing everything in their power to ensure one of their top commodities is kept happy in the aftermath of his close pals being sent packing.
