3. Sasha Banks Takes Time Off After WrestleMania 35 (Bayley Goes On A Fruitful Singles Run)

Though it's since been revealed by Sasha Banks herself that many of the rumours surrounding her reaction to losing the Women's Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 35 were false, what can't be disputed is the fact that 'The Boss' opted to exit the spotlight for four months in the aftermath of that defeat.

With Banks taking some much needed time off, Bayley was suddenly left without a partner and forced to go it alone on SmackDown.

The former NXT and Raw Women's Champion soon hit the singles ground running, winning both the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match and the SmackDown Women's title on the very same night. This made her the first ever WWE Women's Grand Slam winner in history.

She'd eventually turn heel in September of that year, aiding her recently returned buddy Banks. Yet, the building blocks for her dastardly dominance over on the blue brand really fell into place the moment she was shipped off to SmackDown post-Banks exit a few months earlier.

If 'The Boss 'n' Hug Connection' had stayed together and challenged The IIconics so soon after tasting defeat on the Grandest Stage, would Bayley have been given the opportunity to turn into the brilliant villain we see before us today? Doubt it.
