Speaking of someone whose natural charisma doesn't lend itself to being a babyface... Here's Erick Rowan. The former Wyatt Family member was thrusted into the role of a would-be crowd favourite in the build up to Survivor Series last year in a decision that is still baffling today. Quite literally nothing about his run as part of the fearsome trio screamed good guy. Although, maybe merch sales of that sheep mask would have watered the mouths of the powers that be... Watching him trying to get over at times was pretty awkward. We were so used to seeing him interfering in matches and beating on the true babyfaces that it was hard to like him. Not that that's a bad thing. Rowan hasn't played as prominent a role on WWE television over recent weeks and the crowd reactions during the tail end of last year have to be a big reason for that. If he is to get over as a babyface there's a lot of things that need changing in his character. A modified gimmick would be a good place to start. Maybe taking a leaf out of The Godwins' playbook could go down well.
