10 WWE Faces Who Were Actually Total Heels
6. Chris Jericho
When Chris Jericho eventually calls time on his wrestling career, he deserves to be remembered as one of the greatest of all-time. In his prime, he was one of the best wrestlers on the planet, and his combination of sublime technique and flashier moves made every match unmissable.
Additionally, Jericho is one of the best talkers that the sport has ever seen, and a guy who has kept himself relevant through constant reinvention over the past 27 years. Even today, at the age of 46, Jericho is one of Raw’s most consistently enjoyable performers, proving that his charisma is evergreen.
Y2J is probably better off as a heel, but he was always immensely popular as a babyface, particularly when he was feuding with Triple H at the turn of the century. Fans loved Jericho and clung to his every sharp-witted insult, but his persona was far from heroic, and for all his positive qualities, babyface Chris Jericho was a pretty terrible person.
He insulted and ran people down on the microphone whether they deserved it or not, with some of the insults he threw at Stephanie McMahon proving particularly heinous. Jericho was still battling the company’s apparent villains, but morals were a foreign concept to him, and he was routinely one of the most puerile wrestlers on a roster that also included The Rock. That’s some achievement, and babyface Jericho was still bullying heels in early 2016, specifically while confronting The New Day.
