10 WWE Feuds That Must Happen In 2017

2. Cena Vs. Taker

John Cena and The Undertaker have been largely kept apart for over a decade. Besides a strange one-off match on Raw in 2009, they haven’t battled in the ring in years; it’s time to fix that.

The last time the two went to war had Cena cast as a cocky young heel, and Taker as the respected veteran. Now Cena is still firmly established as the face of the company, and Taker is an extreme part-time act. There’s a lot of intrigue and money to be made out of them fighting, and WWE is quickly running out of opportunities to do so.

The match is rumored for WrestleMania 33, which would be the ideal situation to see two legends battling it out, but Taker has also said that Mania doesn’t define him anymore. If he means he’s willing to take on a heavier schedule, they could then build this out longer, and have the two work against younger talent at the show of the year, then meet up later down the line.

However, it’s probably best to play it safe and aim for Mania. As we saw with Sting, nothing is a sure thing. WWE should probably get to this match relatively soon, just to make sure that it actually does happen.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
