10 WWE Feuds That Spanned Multiple Pay-Per-Views

9. Undertaker Vs Goldust (1996)

1996 was a vital year for The Undertaker. His seminal feud with Mankind saw both men soar to new heights in the industry, giving the 'Deadman' character a neatly-timed MOT as WWE began its ascent back to the mainstream.

A huge arc for The Undertaker, the two clashed memorably at four separate events that year, spawning the Boiler Room Brawl, Buried Alive, the death of Purple Taker, and triggered the heart-breaking Paul Bearer heel turn.

But why rake over well-worn graves such as those, when ANOTHER four vastly inferior encounters can be unearthed instead?

Running concurrently with the Mankind plot, The Undertaker was dragged through an interminable story with Goldust, which saw him lose two drab casket matches at Beware of Dog 1 & 2, (because one in the dark wasn't sufficient, apparently) and win a 12-minute snoozer by disqualification at International Incident, before finally polishing off the 'Bizarre One' at Mind Games whilst Foley was preoccupied having one of the best matches in company history.

As if they were taking place in a a parallel universe, these In Your House clashes lay in stark contrast to the the gritty realism and high stakes at play in the Mankind feud, and thankfully lay mostly forgotten in Taker's late-90s renaissance.
