2. Sledgehammer/Baseball Bat On A Pole Match

'On a pole' matches are, admittedly, inherently naff. Thanks to Vince Russo, the gimmick has been killed for most fans. It's hard to forget the infamous 'piñata on a pole' match, no matter how hard you might try. But a pole match would be fitting for Sting and Triple H if there was something worth grabbing on the pole. Luckily for Sting and Triple H, they both have weapons that they're synonymous with that can placed on the pole. Triple H has his sledgehammer and Sting has his famed baseball bat. We're confident that the two men could assemble an engaging contest as they tried to grab their weapon of choice. William Regal and Edge had a decent brass knuckles on a pole match at No Way Out 2002 and just recently Dean Ambrose and John Cena had an engrossing contract on a pole match too. If they stressed the importance of each man's foreign object in the build up for the match, the match would have more meaning and fans would be able to look past the silliness of the pole stipulation.
