10 WWE Gimmick Matches That Sting Vs Triple H Needs

7. A Variation On The Scaffold Match

Who's that in the rafters? It's Sting! Sting made a habit of hanging out in the rafters when he was going through his emo phase in the late '90s, becoming one of the most popular wrestlers in the world by skulking there and not saying or doing anything else. If WWE were to utilise the 'Sting in the rafters' storyline then it could logically lead to a scaffold match or some variation of it. Sting could say that he's not going to come to the ring to fight Triple H and that, if he wants him, he has to go up to the rafters to get him. Scaffold matches are, generally speaking, pretty awful but a new spin on the gimmick could provide a platform (terrible pun) for a decent, tension-filled match. Now if this were to transpire I wouldn't get your hopes up for Trips or Sting to take a bump off the thing. It would certainly be a spectacle and the promise of a new or modified match would get people interested.
