10 WWE Hires That DOOMED Other Wrestlers

4. Hunico (Sin Cara)

WWE must've been cursing their bad luck when the original Sin Cara flopped hard. The ex-Místico botched his first entrance, then failed to dazzle during his first string of matches. It became clear early on that the Cara character wasn't over with fans, but WWE powered on hoping for the best.

Then, in 2011, they experimented by re-debuting the masked man with someone else under the hood. Developmental star Jorge Arriaga assumed the role, then feuded with the real deal when he returned from a Wellness Policy violation. The whole thing was a mess, but WWE eventually found their solution.

Arriaga, after working for a few years as Hunico, replaced Místico full-time.

Being brutally honest, the first Sin Cara was dead man walking as soon as the future Hunico proved he could do it better (or, at least, work matches without botching everything). By 2013, Místico had left the company and Jorge was asked to step in for good.
