This fan will go to his grave defending the good name of Demolition. They were his fave tag-team growing up, and many a playground argument was had about whether or not they were superior to The Road Warriors all along. That only exacerbated in schools across the globe when Hawk and Animal signed for the fed in the early-90s.

By then, the Demos were a shadow of their former glory, and everyone knew it.

Ax had become a corner man to the new duo of Smash and Crush. Meanwhile, the fresh-feeling Legion Of Doom had vibrancy on their side - they especially felt new to the core WWF audience, and that spelled the end for Demolition. Vince McMahon's head was turned, and his own creation took a backseat to the NWA incomers.

Yes, LOD signing on the dotted line for the company literally doomed another tag-team. Demolition started sinking down the pecking order, and The Road Warriors went on to become Tag-Team Champs. The Demos' cards were marked as soon as Hawk and Animal arrived.
