10 WWE In Saudi Arabia Moments That Were Actually Good

2. Mansoor Triumps

One person who will surely be happy about WWE's impending return to Saudi Arabia is Mansoor. Born in Riyadh, Mansoor became the first Saudi Arabian wrestler to sign for WWE in 2018. After a few appearances on NXT, Mansoor announced himself to the world as part of the 51-man Battle Royal at 2019's Super ShowDown.

Mansoor hung on and last threw out Elias to win the huge Battle Royal in front of a jubilant crowd. Mansoor celebrated with his fellow countrymen, having established himself as WWE's talisman in Saudi Arabia. He would follow this up with wins over Cesaro and Dolph Ziggler at future events (both of which took place in his home town) and is now an active member of Raw's roster.

WWE have booked Mansoor to perfection in his homeland. Having him win the Battle Royal put him on the map and gave the Saudi crowd a hero to get behind. His future singles wins only cemented this credibility and Mansoor's star power in his home country. There's little WWE could do now to turn the Saudi crowd against Mansoor... except maybe show them an episode of Raw.
