10 WWE Legends You Won't Believe Are STILL Wrestling

5. Gangrel

The Wardlow
AEW

Gangrel seems like a thoroughly nice bloke.

As such, it's very rewarding to see that he still gets steady work at the age of 54. He's perfect for the legends circuit. His look is iconic in the minds of nostalgic fans, and, bluntly, Gangrel was never so good that watching him at half-speed scans as a grim fall from grace. It isn't too dissimilar to watching him work in 1998. He knows what he's doing. He plays the hits in the most effective order, and his finish is still over.

He gets regular work multiple times per week in a lot of different places: the US, Canada, the UK. He's a draw too, at a smaller level; rave-reviewed Newcastle-based outfit NORTH Wrestling recently drew their biggest crowd at the Walker Dome in part through his name value. That venue is one site of Impact Wrestling's upcoming UK tour, to give you a sense of perspective.

Vince McMahon famously loathed the gimmick, even though he loved plumbers, race car drivers and the like, and it's funny. Gangrel is still fangin' and bangin', whereas Vince in contrast is actually going to be sent down to a pit of flames deep underground.
