All you really need to know about this one – and as if you weren’t already aware – is that Brock Lesnar ended The Undertaker’s fabled undefeated streak at WrestleMania XXX.
What had initially looked like another filler feud, put together to tick over ‘Taker’s record for another year, ended up becoming one of the most genuinely surprising moments that viewers had ever witnessed on WWE programming.
It’s not that Lesnar lacked legitimacy – what with him being one of the most legitimate wrestlers the company's ever had – it’s just that everyone was expecting The Undertaker's streak to either remain unbroken forever or to be ended by a newer, up-and-coming name.
A win for a part-time, 36-year-old Lesnar ticked neither of those boxes. And though the match itself wasn’t particularly great from bell-to-bell, that twist at the end was enough on its own to see this one deliver in a way that few people, if anyone, would’ve predicted going into the show.
