10 WWE Moments 2020 Will Be Fondly Remembered For

7. Asuka

Asuka is, hands-down, one of WWE's greatest assets. Her wrestling ability, her personality, her energy; all of them combine to make her immensely watchable, not to mention likeable.

Her ringside antics and energy were a huge part of keeping the early empty-arena shows watchable. While WWE was vainly trying to figure out how to carry on in the age of COVID, letting Asuka loose to 'commentate', to goof around in the ring area, and to go off on half-English / half-Japanese rants was a brilliant distraction.

As previously mentioned, she had a wonderful segment with Becky Lynch when Lynch announced her pregnancy, turning her face at the same time.

Asuka defended her title several times before losing it to Sasha Banks on RAW (a RAW that also served as a send-off for Asuka's friend and partner Kairi Sane.) She won it back at SummerSlam from Banks and has stayed one of this year's most reliable and appreciated champs.

The only issue? Her wins at MITB and of the Women's Championship were bittersweet. Asuka certainly deserved the accolades, but she also deserved to have it happen in front of a crowd who could show her the love and affection she's earned.
