10 WWE NXT Main Roster Call-Ups That Must Happen In 2019

1. Tommaso Ciampa OR Johnny Gargano

NXT simply isn't big enough for Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano to coexist on. But, unlike the assumed outcome of their programme when it finally reaches its natural conclusion, the end result for at least one of them should be, fittingly, to do it themselves.

Ironically, it'll be in scoring a big victory that one of them will usher the other onto pastures new. Their final Championship battle should be fought under "Loser Leaves Town" rules to ensure a sense of finality in the feud. In reality, this opens up the door to the main roster, and thus rewards both for their incredible efforts in an at-times-incendiary programme.

The natural end to the story had previously been Gargano's Championship victory, but the waters have been intriguingly muddied by his recent heel turn. If it's all been a ruse to separate Ciampa from his beloved 'Goldie', then all he'll have left to take will be the 'Greatest Sports Entertainer Of All Time's NXT career. Alternatively, by conclusively beating 'Johnny Wrestling', Ciampa could cradle his beloved prize for a good while longer, assuming he'll never see his former foe again before their paths one day cross on the main roster.

One of this angle's many amazing visuals has been the devious Ciampa wave - will he one day do it to usher out Gargano, or say farewell himself?
