10 WWE NXT Stars Who Vanished Without A Trace

3. Tino Sabbatelli

One of the featured stars of WWE Network's excellent Breaking Ground series, it looked like the future was bright for Tino Sabbatelli upon him being paired with Riddick Moss on NXT TV in late 2016.

As a tandem, Sabbatelli and Moss meshed brilliantly together in a visual and a character sense, and there was genuine potential in the duo. That potential was hindered massively be only being used sporadically on the weekly NXT show, while Tino tearing his pec in April 2018 was obviously a huge setback for the former NFL player - not least because this came just as he'd turned on Moss and the two looked set to feud.

Like so many others, Tino Sabbatelli was released by WWE in April of last year, and since then he's only been seen once. That 'once', of course, was on AEW Dark, where Sabbatelli teamed with Brady Pierce in a losing effort against Chuckie T and Trent? of the Best Friends.

That tag contest took place in July 2020, and Tino has yet to resurface. Shortly after his Dark appearance, there were rumours that he'd leaked out certain AEW spoilers - while stories towards the end of the year indicated he may have been re-signed by WWE.

Either way, Tino Sabbatelli hasn't wrestled in ten months and has only had one televised match - that AEW Dark tag team bout - in the past two years.
