10 WWE NXT Wrestlers Who Should Go To Raw Or SmackDown Next

At least for the last two years, Johnny Gargano has been racking up stellar performances at NXT PPVs like nobody else. Still, much like his former #DIY compadre-turned-bitter-rival Tommaso Ciampa, there doesn't seem to be much left for him on the yellow brand.

Following a long-awaited (albeit brief) NXT Championship reign in the spring of 2019, perennial-babyface Gargano turned heel earlier this year. While this new attitude did earn him a win over Ciampa in their "final match" on an April episode of NXT, he has thusly been unable to recapture championship gold. And now, after losing an NXT North American Championship match to Keith Lee at NXT TakeOver: In Your House, there isn't much of a purpose in keeping him on NXT.

After all, he has been with the company for half a decade, he's won literally every championship that NXT has to offer him, and he's got four 5-or-more-star matches to his name. His contributions to NXT's success are undeniable, but it's time for NXT to pass the ball to newer stars (looking at you, Karrion Kross) and it's time for Gargano to deliver some more instant classics against main roster opponents (looking at you, Daniel Bryan).

And, much like Lee bringing Mia Yim along with him, he can most certainly bring his actual wife, Candice LeRae, up with him as well.
