10 WWE One-Offs So Bad You Forgot They Existed

4. “Duchess Of Queensbury”

Let it be known that this definitely isn't an attempt to besmirch the otherwise brilliant feud between William Regal and Chris Jericho from 2001. The pair had endless chemistry with one another, and Jericho taking a whizz in Commissioner Regal's tea is essential content/an example of comedy done well.

Then, at Backlash 2001, the WWF tried to present a new bespoke match type for Willy. He challenged 'Y2J' to a "Duchess Of Queensbury Rules" match. What was it? Well, it was Regal changing the rules to suit himself whilst the bout was in progress, but nobody thought the Duchess herself would fly into Chicago for the show.

She did, and it raised some eyebrows.

The part was reportedly played by one of the company's makeup artists. This "Duchess Of Queensbury" sat around ringside reacting to the match, then worked some hammy spots with Regal. It was such a miss that neither she nor her match type were ever spotted on TV again.
