10 WWE Predictions We All Got Completely Wrong In 2017

2. Sasha Banks Will Turn On Bayley

It seemed nailed on as early as January, but Sasha Banks and Bayley will somehow spend another year exchanging Christmas cards rather than spiteful glares.

Bayley's booking across the year has been atrocious, with Sasha fairing little better under the reckless stewardship of the Raw creative team. Despite that, the cracks in their friendship have narrowed and widened as per the needs of the story at the time. Bayley's first and only Women's Title victory was clouded in controversy thanks to copious interference from 'The Boss', but it only stoked competitive fires, rather than personal ones.

Annoyed at her own personal failings, Banks even snapped at 'The Hugger' whilst recovering from a Nia Jax beating, but the tension was dropped without trace the very next week.

More neglectful than teasing, the fact they've yet to formally sever ties at least gives hope to the possibility that bigger things are ahead for both. In 2015, the pair redefined Women's wrestling for a generation during their incredible NXT rivalry. With minimal exceptions, 2017 was the year the female talents were annoyingly shoehorned back into frustratingly familiar background roles. A Bayley/Banks angle would be the tale to help all of them push back to the front and centre.
