Hands up who watches Main Event weekly in 2021? There can't be many, because that show is arguably the most skippable WWE product out there. Being fair, it was already peripheral by 2014; Main Event launched in 2012, received typical early support and then faded into Heat, Superstars and Metal levels of obscurity.

Still, it did foresee the arrival of Roman Reigns as a bad ass heel.

Seven years ago, Reigns cut an in-ring promo with Renee Young and discussed Seth Rollins' betrayal of his Shield brethren. Within 20 seconds, Roman vowed to become WWE Champion and said he'd "take [his] rightful place at the head of the table" when that happened. Spot anything?

That 'Head Of The Table' gimmick has become Reigns' go-to now he's a heel. His promo was killer back then, but WWE decided to try and force him down fan throats as a heroic babyface they could always believe in. They should've put all their might behind this instead.
