Kofi-Mania was one hell of a time to be alive, you'll no doubt agree.

And while the WWE Championship run that would follow didn't quite take off in the way many had been hoping, Kofi Kingston still sat as one of the most beloved babyfaces on the roster and most felt that he deserved an awful lot more than what went down on the night of October 2, 2019.

Getting absolutely bulldozed by Brock Lesnar in just eight seconds, The New Day man was also understandably disheartened about the nature of his eventual WWE Championship defeat.

But in what eventually came across like a big ol' "apologies for feeding you to The Conqueror" just over a month later, Kingston suddenly found himself draped in gold once again; this time alongside Big E as the New Day stars bested The Revival for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship belts.

Now sure, the fact the company all but forgot about Kingston as a singles main eventer soon after was a source of frustration for many.

However, the charismatic forces of positivity keeping hold of the titles for a few months definitely still acted as the closest thing to an on-air apology to the former WWE champ (and fans) for Vince foolishly trying to make Brock vs. Velasquez II a thing.
