From @WrestleMike: Would NXTs top divas be better off staying on NXT due to the lack of time theyll get on the main roster?
There's no question that it's better for divas to be on NXT just based on the storylines and matches they have on that show, but the pay is a different story. From what I understand, a superstar or diva would make about 1/3 in NXT compared to what they make on the main roster, so while it might be nice to have a longer match on there it's not great in the long term. Everybody in NXT wants to be on the main roster. The pay is better. The crowds are bigger. There are more opportunities to grow and make more money. The money thing is important because it's a business and these people have bills to pay just like all of us. Making NXT money the rest of your life isn't going to cut it. It would be nice if divas on the main roster got more time. There was a nice match on Main Event with Paige beating Nikki Bella where they got about 15 minutes. Most Raw & Smackdown diva matches clock in around three minutes, so it was a nice change on Main Event. All wrestlers want to have longer matches no matter the show. Fans want to see longer matches too. From the business point of view, they want to be on the main shows.
