From @DaveyBoy97: Will we ever see another Iron Man match in the WWE?
It would be nice, but I don't expect one any time soon. Ever? It's a tough call. It's been over five years since the last one they did a one hour Iron Man match between John Cena and Randy Orton. They did a few in the 2000s and then the famous one in 1996 with Shawn Michaels beating Bret Hart. A lot of the time when they do that kind of match it's an above average performance that showcase the talents of the two men involved, but it's also a lot to ask fans to get invested in a match for 60 minutes. Even 30 minute Iron Man matches (like Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels in 2005) feel like they can wear out a crowd. There are a number of talented wrestlers that could pull off a great Iron Man match like Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins, Dolph Ziggler, Dean Ambrose and others like that. However, the chances of it happening seem to be slim. If it was up to me there would be, but I just think in today's WWE it seems unlikely just because it's been such a rare match for WWE to do. They have other stipulations they like more. It feels like the Iron Man is a thing of the past now.
