From @mkurtz91: With HHH and Vince's power struggle hurting the product, is it time for Vince to step aside? There's no creativity lately.
It's wrong to assume there are major power struggles or anything resembling that without really being there. Yes, we read reports about how Triple H wanted to do an angle, but Vince changed it. That kind of thing has been happening for years with whoever Vince has by his side. That's part of the creative process. It's hard for people to always agree on things. It's just how the wresting business is. Vince is 69 years old and is a tireless worker. He's not going to just slow down because he's going to be 70 years old next year. Some people may retire by that age, but he's not wired like a normal person. He's a workaholic that will keep doing what he's doing until he feels it's time to walk away. There isn't going to be anybody there to push him out the door so that he can retire on some yacht in Florida. When Vince does stop being the man in charge in WWE it will be the biggest story in wrestling. He's been at the forefront for over 30 years. In ten years when he's nearly 80 will he stop? Maybe. He probably doesn't even know at this point. There's no reason for Vince to step aside as long as he's physically able to do his job. What he should do is rely on the people that work for him a little more than he has in the past because the older you get, the harder it gets. Good luck telling him he needs to relax a bit. That's not something he's used to doing.
