9. AJ Lee Retirement Preventing Releases?

That's an interesting question because we're used to seeing WWE performers getting released after WrestleMania, but it hasn't really happened yet. Perhaps there will be some names that are cut loose after the European tour is over in about a week. AJ Lee's retirement is a money saving thing for WWE because was likely making good money and possibly more than any woman that worked there. Whether that prevented others from being fired is probably a stretch although you never know. If she makes as much as two or three divas combined then it could lead WWE to keep those ladies around, whoever they are. The annual firing period may not happen this year. Last year they needed to do it to save money for WWE Network. Now that they are in year two of the Network and it's growing maybe they'll keep more people around.
