From @degrace87: How can the WWE make the US Title relevant once Cena loses?
It's important that they keep booking a lot of title matches, put them on television and put over the fighting champion as a big deal. There's really no magic formula to it. The US Title is not suddenly prestigious just because of Cena. It's because he had more TV title matches over about four months than any current champion in WWE has had in years and his matches usually got time too. Of course a title is going to appear to be more valuable when it's constantly defended on television. This is something WWE should have been doing for years. It doesn't always have to be an open challenge either - just put the focus on title defenses in general and it will be beneficial to everybody involved. It works with any title. The more defenses the better and the more credible the champion looks too.
