From @stephdoe86: Should more gimmick matches feature on Raw/SD to enhance interest and excitement to these shows?
Yes absolutely. It would also be important for them to pick gimmick matches that people actually like and want to see. For example, they did a Daniel Bryan vs. Kane battle with Casket Match rules. It was boring like those matches are. The problem with more gimmick matches is that it might hurt the PPVs, but it would seriously help TV and I think that's very important for WWE right now. They've done a poor job of late in terms of booking exciting matches on TV with good finishes. It seems like they end in disqualification too much. Fans need a reason to tune into Raw and Smackdown every week. Doing 20 minute promos to open every show is a bad way to keep people interested. Putting on some more high profile matches with stipulations would be a good idea. Another thing they need to do is have more title matches. They barely defend titles on television, which is ridiculous. All titles should be defended more often, even the WWE Title too. Why not? It's not like the champion has to lose a title on Raw or Smackdown, but at least have them defend them. They are supposed to be defended.
