4. How Can WWE Retire Big Show While Maintaining His Legacy?
@MichaelFarrer92 has a particularly tricky question. Big Show's legacy is definitely under threat (just listen to those "please retire" chants), so how on earth can WWE successfully call time on the giant's career? Bizarrely, for the most imposing man in professional wrestling, Show's best role has often been as a sympathetic babyface. He is fantastic at conveying emotion and drawing support from the crowd, which makes me think that the perfect way for him to go out is a "one last shot" scenario. WWE could have Show go in search of his last big win, preferably at WrestleMania, against an up-and-coming heel. The previously mentioned Baron Corbin would probably fit the bill, as would Rusev (who's still in the infancy of his main roster career). In the build-up, much needs to be made of Show's legacy and longevity, only for the heel to completely disrespect him. The actual bout should be relatively short, but very brutal, ending with the giant coming up just short. Hopefully the fans will have been reminded of his years of dedication to the business, and rightfully give him a final ovation. Nothing flashy about this storyline; simple, hopefully effective booking.
