It's hard to know what might happen, but it sure felt like the Stardust character was going to end soon anyway. Maybe they would have kept it around for that SummerSlam match against Stephen Amell although that's not a sure thing either. It wouldn't surprise me if Cody took a few weeks off to mourn his father's death although his wife Brandi also works for WWE as a ring announcer, so perhaps going on the road will be good for them since they will be with their WWE family. When you think about his work in the ring, the fans loved cheering for Cody when he was teaming with his brother Dustin (Goldust). They can't do that right now since Goldust is rehabbing a shoulder injury, but a return of babyface Cody makes a lot sense. Can he start doing the bionic elbow during his matches? Because that would be really cool if he started doing that as a tribute to his father.
