3. What's More Important: Exciting Storylines Or Exciting Matches?

The previous discussion about Undertaker's two matches with Michaels brings us nicely onto the question of exciting wrestling vs. exciting storylines.

Ultimately, I think the main reason I watch wrestling is because I enjoy a narrative. It's great to see five-star matches, but it's also important to find the right balance of in-ring action and storytelling.

Of course both are crucial ingredients to success in the wrestling world, but if pressed to choose between contextless (but brilliant) wrestling, and slightly less impressive action built upon a solid narrative, I'd choose the latter.
