From @andyclemo: Who on the current main roster could thrive if given a new gimmick and sent to @WWENXT? Think it helped Tyson Kidd a lot.
There are a lot of guys that could use a boost. Jack Swagger immediately comes to mind. The "Real American" thing really isn't working for him since he's basically Rusev's personal jobber at this point in his career. Maybe trying to revive his career by doing a couple of months in NXT could help. Zack Ryder is another guy that comes to mind. The guy knows how to connect with the audience and was very popular in late 2011. It's just that WWE decided to kill his momentum with that Kane feud and he's been locked in as a jobber ever since. Darren Young's a guy with a lot of personality and talent. It looks like WWE is putting him back with Titus O'Neil to become the Prime Time Players again, but it wouldn't hurt his career if he was in NXT trying to get some momentum going on his own too. Kidd's run in NXT helped him big time. He missed nearly a year of action in 2013 due to the knee injury, so he spent 2014 not only getting back in shape, but improving on his career with a character that works really well. They used Titus O'Neil in NXT for a brief amount of time and it didn't do much for him. The NXT "character rehab" formula isn't going to work for everybody, but it is worth a try.
