9. Is James Ellsworth Devaluing SmackDown?

This question is sure to divide opinion, as is my answer. I don't have a problem with James Ellsworth being in the SmackDown main event scene, as his role has been managed very carefully. He's not like David Arquette winning the WCW Championship - he's a guy very clearly out of his depth, and that unique element has added both life and longevity to the feud between Styles and Ambrose. The timing of Ellsworth's arrival has also been superb, with a long gap between SmackDown's last brand-exclusive PPV and the big Survivor Series event later this month. Had Dean and AJ continued to simply snipe at each other one-on-one, this angle would feel a lot more tiresome by now.

I do understand the argument that a lot of far more deserving, far more talented wrestlers would kill to be in the position Ellsworth finds himself in, but again, he's not being utilised in a way that paints him to be a legitimate contender.
