Thanks to Stevebola @SMDegrazio for the question. This is in relation to news that the expected Mania title match is Rollins versus Lesnar versus Reigns. The simple answer is that WWE don't see Dean Ambrose as a big enough star. And they are right, he isn't anywhere near as big as Brock Lesnar. While a Shield triple threat is enticing, it makes way more commercial sense to run with Lesnar in the match. As for Reigns being in ahead of Ambrose, he's WWE's golden boy and the long term plan to be franchise star. He was all over the media for WrestleMania 31, and as such, has a bigger status than Ambrose. Plus, there's a story to tie up, it was Reigns versus Lesnar at Mania 31, when Rollins cost them both this year. It now makes sense to follow up with the three men fighting each other. A Shield triple threat can be done another time, all three Shield members are young, we'll see it eventually.
