5. Why Is Roman Reigns Facing Triple H At WrestleMania?
This week's guest question comes from the desk of our very own TV section editor (and lapsed wrestling fan), @jameshunt182. As something of an outside observer, James has noticed that WWE's decision to push Roman Reigns into a WrestleMania 32 main event is...rather an alarming one. The simple answer is that Reigns is currently WWE's biggest available babyface star - but the ground upon which he was built is very shaky indeed. While Cena was similarly beloved by huge swatches of the audience, and detested by a far more vocal minority, he at least had the charisma to back it up. Reigns hasn't quite developed an acceptable level of mic skill yet, and certainly isn't helped by WWE's currently stale scriptwriting. Does a Triple H vs. Roman Reigns main event make sense from a business perspective? Yes, in the short term. Does it makes sense in terms of providing the best entertainment possible? Absolutely not, especially if rumours of Vince McMahon shoe-horning one last hand-picked star to the top are true. So many superstars could have been elevated alongside Roman, and have been made to look unfairly weak during his march to the top - Dean Ambrose chief among them.
