10 WWE Rematches We Can’t Wait To See In AEW
2. Bryan Danielson Vs. Miro
WWE Record:
Rusev defeated Daniel Bryan - SmackDown - 8th May 2018
With opposing styles that simultaneously pose a challenge as well as compliment each other, it is surprising that WWE only pitted the technical prowess of Bryan against the brute strength of the then-Rusev on only one occasion. Their Money in the Bank qualifier match, though it had the least time of the show's qualifiers, main evented SmackDown.
The two had an all out brawl and Miro's ally Aiden English didn't involve himself enough to take away from the bout. Throughout the match, Bryan was selling previous kayfabe injuries he'd suffered during a beatdown from Big Cass, which limited Bryan from showing his full wrestling finesse. As his ribs gave out on him, it was logical for "The Bulgarian Brute" to come out dominant and on top.
Without the kayfabe limitations of their solo WWE bout, Bryan and Miro as a one-on-one match is packed with the capacity to steal the show on any AEW card. As aforementioned, the two's wrestling styles encourage both friction and symbiosis, a force that is at the core of professional wrestling at its best.
