After five years away in TNA and All Japan Pro Wrestling, ex-Nation Of Domination head bobber D'Lo Brown returned to WWE television with a win over Santino Marella. His return, on the 21 July 2008 episode of Raw, flew under the radar. Fans seemed genuinely happy to see him though.

WWE's interest didn't last - Brown was relegated to dark matches, house shows and (worse) ECW before being released once again the following January as a cost-cutting measure. All in all, his grand comeback extended to one win over Marella, a tag-match loss to Santino and Beth Phoenix with Kelly Kelly and another DQ loss to Santina's brother.

It'd be interesting to grill someone in the know about exactly what WWE had in mind for D'Lo before re-debuting him on TV. Keep in mind that Marella, comedy character or not, was a popular character in the mix for the Intercontinental Title at the time, so it had to be something.

Long live the head bob. You better recognise.
