10 WWE Returns Nobody Saw Coming

6. The Hardy Boyz (WrestleMania 33)

This one is personally meaningful to your writer.

He was there in the tarted-up Camping World Stadium for WrestleMania 33, and he leapt out of his seat (spilling a $15 Jack Daniels and Coke in the process) when guest hosts New Day proudly announced that The Hardy Boyz were in the house. As soon as that trademark music hit, the entire place lost it.

Approximately 24 hours before, Matt and Jeff had worked ROH's Supercard Of Honor XI pay-per-view. Some suspected something was afoot when they dropped their Tag-Team Titles to The Young Bucks, though nobody could've predicted the scenes in Orlando. That WWE return came much sooner than even the smartest fan would've imagined.

The reaction was almost indescribable. People on all levels of wrestling fandom hugged like all their dreams had come true, and the siblings were visibly over-the-moon to be back "home". This must rank as one of the best 'Mania comebacks of all time.
