Despite how absolutely knackered Shane McMahon looked out there for large portions, this contest was remarkably not a total piece of sh*t and in fact flattered itself in the face of reasoned expectation.

Servicing Shane’s ego seemed typically high on the priorities list but it did at least feed into the wider narrative this time. McMahon and Miz’ odd dynamic has been fostered by ‘The Money’s willingness to trust ‘The A-Lister’, and their worthy pursuit of The Bar required the worthy effort the match received. 'Shane-O-Mac' took the worst of The Bar's grisly abuse (including a particularly hilarious Cesaro Swing in which he tried desperately to keep his shirt from riding up), but got the glory of the victory too when he wrapped things up with his shooting star press.

One senses a turn is still forthcoming between the pair sooner rather than later, but it was hard not to be slightly warmed by the duo's celebration with Miz' father in the post-match. From little acorns oak trees grow, and whilst this might not exactly be a proud pillar of SmackDown Live just yet, it's at very least got enough branches on it to service a logical Road To WrestleMania.
