The 2001 Royal Rumble made history not only by featuring the first, and to this point only, 3-time Royal Rumble winner in Stone Cold Steve Austin, but also because of the very first celebrity participant.

Of all the non-wrestlers that have entered the Royal Rumble over the years, many forget that actor/comedian/game show host, Drew Carey, was one of them.

Years before the longtime Price Is Right host Bob Barker hosted an episode of Monday Night RAW in 2009, the host of the famous CBS game show since 2007, Carey, not only appeared on WWE television, but actually competed in the Royal Rumble match!

At the Royal Rumble event, Drew appeared to speak with Vince McMahon in hopes of learning how to promote Carey's own upcoming Pay-Per-View, Improv All-Stars. After seemingly hitting on Vince's mistress Trish Stratus, Vince suggested Drew enter the Royal Rumble match and, to impress Trish, Drew agreed.

Entering at number 5, Carey watched as the only two active participants, Matt and Jeff Hardy, eliminated each other before Kane entered at #6. The comedian attempted to bribe Kane with cash before the Big Red Monster goozled him. Luckily for Drew, Raven entered at #7 and blasted Kane with another cane of the Singapore variety, allowing Carey to escape Kane's clutches and the Royal Rumble match altogether.

Despite being a pretty memorable moment, Drew Carey is often forgotten as a Royal Rumble participant.
