10 WWE Ruthless Aggression Tag Teams You Totally Don’t Remember
5. The Gymini
Twin brothers Mike and Todd Shane have not had the best luck when it comes to successful gimmicks during their time in professional wrestling.
After being trained by Dean Malenko and initially competing under their real names, the pair got their first big break signing with TNA in 2002 and even won the NWA World Tag Team Championships. However, their stint in TNA saw them rebranded Dick and Rod Johnson, and resigned to being little more than a phallic joke.
Despite presumably thinking things couldn't get any worse, the pair were later signed by the WWE. and rebranded as Gymini, aligning themselves with fitness guru, and noted Segway enthusiast, Simon Dean.
However, serving as the lackeys for a wrestler who has already been denoted as a jobber was, perhaps unsurprisingly, not a recipe for great success in the WWE, and despite rebranding as Jake and Jesse after a return to developmental, the pair would be given their walking papers in January 2007.
