10 WWE Stars Already Having A Terrible 2018

10. The Ascension

The Ascension Bludgeon Brothers

The Bludgeon Brothers dismantled The Ascension like they were nothing in exactly 60 seconds on the 9 January episode of SmackDown. This was the latest low for a tag-team who have suffered many since being promoted to the main roster in 2014. Remember the promise Konnor and Viktor had back then?

We don't either.

WWE treated The Ascension, who had been ass-kicking killers on NXT, like jobbers as soon as they moved away from Full Sail. Fast-forward four years and they're still also-rans in the tag division with no sign of progression or a tag title reign. All these face-painted goofs are good for is a thumping at the hands of WWE's next 'monster heel' duo.

That old adage about the more things change the more they stay the same is true of The Ascension. It's a new year, but it's the same old crap for a team that is somehow still around. Forget working 'Mania, these guys have been booked so poorly they're lucky to get on SmackDown.
