As annoying as Ric Flair in an airport, The Miz has had his fair share of detractors over the years. Whether it's JBL or Chris Benoit kicking him out of the locker room or fans constantly getting on his back, he has done well to stick around and see out the abuse. Even more impressively, he's turned into a great performer in that time,
And, yes, he is still annoying. In fact, every time you see him you want to punch him in the face. He's the perfect heel. You could argue it's 'go away' heat, but then you could also argue that that's exactly what Miz's character is aiming for. He wants you to make him go away.
Whatever Miz does next, whether he stays around for ten years or leaves to pursue a movie career, time will show his run in the WWE as a success. The guy is one of the very few real heels left in the company. That he holds a WrestleMania win over John Cena isn't too shabby either.
