Mark Henry has spent the majority of his adult life working for the WWE. He first signed with Vince for a big money contract (coming off his strongman and weightlifting fame) in 1996. That contract was also a deal which guaranteed ten years, a considerable faith in Henry's potential from McMahon. Henry has paid back this faith by becoming one of the most company men there is. He initially struggled to get over and was admittedly an awful wrestler and terrible promo man - but his loyalty was unwavering. Henry was always willing to put a shift in for media engagements and was keen to improve his work as a wrestler. Eventually his willingness to get better paid off, resulting in a main event run in 2011. He is now an astute in-ring worker and exceptional on the microphone. Vince believed in Henry from day one and for that reason Henry would never dream of working for anyone other than WWE. He will very possibly be on the payroll for life in some capacity.
