Joe himself seems aware of this, as he's already expressed an interest in multiple matches he'd like to happen, and Kyle O'Reilly is the first of these that you'll see on this list.
KOR has had a fantastic time as of late. He's always been an appreciated member of The Undisputed Era, but after this group imploded, he found himself entering a whole new era of success in NXT. Seeing O'Reilly enter the title picture scene was great for fans of his work in Ring Of Honor, and one way to keep this success going would be to set him up with Joe.
The pair have an instant contrast as Samoa Joe is a more forceful performer, whereas O'Reilly is a fantastic technician, but one thing that they definitely share is showmanship. Both Joe and O'Reilly are expert storytellers, so there's no doubt that a showcase between them would have plenty of layers and substance, which is exactly what Joe would need in a wrestling return.
