10 WWE Stars Set To Be “Future Endeavored” In 2015
2. Heath Slater
Heath Slater gets the most television time out of anyone on this list yet it's a surprise he's still with WWE. He's been under contract to the company since 2006, but it wasn't until 2010 when he was finally called up to take part in the inaugural season of NXT. Despite finishing fourth in the competition, Slater joined forces with the rest of the disgruntled "rookies" and ran roughshod over WWE as part of The Nexus. He's also been involved with The Corre, 3MB and Slater Gator over the years. He has three WWE Tag Team Championship reigns to his credit, but he's never been able to find success as a singles guy. Slater's talented hand in the ring and is flexible in whatever role given to him, so he does serve a purpose. However, Slater recently caught heat for an incident that occurred over three years ago. A warrant was allegedly issued for his arrest. Although he hasn't been granted his release, it may be only a matter of time. Slater claims to be innocent, so WWE could be waiting until he is proven guilty before they cut him in a situation similar to Emma's. Either way, he could be among the first ones WWE "future endeavors" in the new year to avoid any further negative press.
