9. Edge To Raw (2004)

At the time Edge was brought over in the 2004 reshuffling, he'd been on the shelf for 13 months following spinal fusion surgery.

Staying on Smackdown upon his return may have still done him wonders as a fresh face, but the move to Raw would work out for him in unimaginable ways. Beginning with a heel turn at the end of the summer, Edge was well on his way to becoming perhaps the company's best villain for the next five years.

Edge's heel turn filled the void that Randy Orton's face turn had created, and Edge went wild as the megalomaniacal opportunist that would steal girlfriends, flaunt his avarice openly, and make cashing in briefcases the in-thing to do. Somehow, I doubt he follows the same trajectory if he stays on Smackdown.
