The Miz's future A-list cohort was foundering on Raw. Despite Nitro's chiseled frame, good looks, and virtually-unparalleled gymnastics, he just wasn't breaking through. After forming a quickly-forgotten team with Kenny Dykstra, Nitro was moved to ECW, where he would immediately become ECW Champion, a spot designated for Chris Benoit, whose absence needs no further explanation.

Nitro ditched the name and slightly remade himself as John Morrison, imparting wisdom and sarcasm in a heavy monotone. Great performances with CM Punk, and the pairing with Miz that mined each man's comedic chops, brought Morrison into the foreground as a talent to watch.

As of this writing, Vince McMahon is apparently keen to bring back Morrison, who now plies his trade in Lucha Underground as Johnny Mundo.
