Why The Internet Hates Him: The Big Show has been in WWE since 1999. Save for a brief period between late 2006 and early 2008 when he left to convalesce from various injuries, Show has been a fixture on WWE television for fifteen years. That's a run that very few wrestlers get to enjoy. With Show and the IWC it's mainly a case of familiarity breeding content. Show has been around so much that fans are simply starting to get sick of him. Plus, he's forty three years old, moves a lot slower than he used to and rarely has a 'great' match. Seeing Big Show and Kane, two men with a combined age of ninety beating the likes of promising talents like Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryan irks many keyboard warriors. Show won the second annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 31, an honour that many felt should go to a younger talent with a long career ahead of them, like it did at WrestleMania XXX when Cesaro won it (last eliminating Show). Instead of being phased out, it seems that WWE are determined to push the ageing Show as strong as ever. Why They're Wrong: The Big Show is a WWE legend, a man who has seen and done it all in his fifteen years with the company. He is a veteran who deserves respect, given the amount of time he has put in. Plus, while travelling and wrestling a full schedule may be hard for 'normal' people, it is ten times harder for a giant like Show. Paul Wight is a locker room leader, somebody whom WWE needs to keep others in line backstage. Besides, Show still has a role to play on the show. He will always be an impressive sight and, for a man of his size, he can still move around very well. Look at the gusto with which he bounces around for a Roman Reigns spear. That is probably why Show has stuck around so long. He is financially set for life but clearly loves the business and wants to give back. He probably should be phased down over the coming months and years but Show is a valuable resource to WWE and the fans should respect that.
