8. Yokozuna
WWE.comThe build up to The Undertaker's showdown with Yokozuna at the 1994 Royal Rumble was good. Since Yoko was a top guy in WWE for a year before this it was a big deal to see him facing off with a top babyface like Undertaker with Yoko defending the WWE Title. While the build may have been good, the execution was awful. When they had the Casket Match at the 1994 Rumble the story was that Yoko was scared of the casket, which was a common theme for Undertaker opponents. Six minutes into the match, The Undertaker placed Yoko in the Casket and had the match won, but then Crush showed up to attack him. For the next seven minutes, there were about a dozen heels in the ring attacking Undertaker. It was one of the most overbooked match finishes ever. Then there was the famous scene of Undertaker doing a promo from inside the casket. He was out in the storyline for seven months. Later in the year at Survivor Series 1994 they did the Casket Match again with Chuck Norris as the celebrity special enforcer at ringside to make sure there wasn't interference again. That match was a bit better than the one at the Rumble, but it wasn't very good either. There were probably some other Undertaker/Yokozuna matches too. They all had a common theme in that they were generally pretty awful.
